MAKE A GENERAL DONATION
When you donate to the Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, every dollar counts. As the non-profit organization that manages and operates our city's animal shelter, your donations are the reason the animals who enter our shelter are safe, and never at risk of euthanasia for length of stay or lack of space. When you make a general donation, you dollars are used where our animals need it most.
Although the animal shelter and animal care is our largest expense, our outreach and retention programs are growing just as rapidly. Our additional programs include:
The Love Fund
This is a fund set up specifically for those animals who come to us severely injured and in need of emergency care.
Fix-a-Friend Spay & Neuter Clinic
This program offers low and no cost spay & neuter services to Coachella Valley residents. We often find that clinic visitors need much more and often give away free collars, leashes, crates and pet food.
Friends Pet Project: Pet Food Bank
The Pet Food Bank services the entire Coachella Valley by partnering with organization who have clients in need. Currently, Friends Pet Project provides pet food for AIDS Assistance Project and Mizell Senior Center clients.
TNR is the humane way to manage community cat colonies and since it's inception in 2013 has saved over 1,000 cats and kittens from death.
While many donors give without restriction, there are those who prefer to designate their donation toward a specific program. If you choose to designate your donation, you can be assured that is where your gift will be applied. To designate your donation to one of the programs listed above, please use the designated donation button provided, or specify on your check or in the message of your online donation.
Only if we understand can we care. Only if we care can we help. Only if we help shall they be saved. -Jane Goodall
